Here’s a surprise that many new brides-to-be may not know… What’s hot on the radio, may not YET be hot at a reception. Most songs take a couple of months, if not longer, before they can fill a dance floor. If you are considering playing your new favorite song at your reception, talk to your DJ. See if it has worked for him yet. Tip: Oh, and be sure he has played for a lot of RECENT weddings. Advice from a DJ that has most recently performed at proms or grad parties may not give you the useful advice you’re looking for. Weddings have a completely different crowd from a teen party.
